NOt talking about the movies, but I am taking a survey to find out how many people liked Harry POtter and still like it before it came out as a movie. Tell me why you like it and if it has changed your life in any way? Did it inspire you to read more books similar to that of Harry Potter? Thanks.

HOw many of You GUYS LOVE the HARRY POTTER BOOKS?
i love those books

they actually have changed my life,

the harry potter books are the reason

why i love to read. they made me realize

that reading did not have to be so dull
Reply:I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!! I have read the books twice so far and I will most likely read them several more times....you find something new each time you read them, they have a good message and such and interesting story, once I pick one of the books up I just can't but them down!
Reply:Honestly, I tried to read the book and it didn't really interest me.
Reply:i am a huge fan of the books but not as big a fan of the movies. it was an amazing fantasy that i just got caught up in with really interesting characters and it makes me sad to see it end. i've always been addicted to books and the series was really easy to get addicted to. i've always loved fantasy and fiction but i love it even more now that i've read harry potter.
Reply:Well, i watched the first 3 movies, then i read all the books that had been released then , and then saw the 4th and 5th films after already reading them.

So i wasnt a book fan before i was a movie fan, but...

I like to think of myself as a fan from the beginning :D

Of course it has changed my life..

Without it i wouldnt be so happy :)

I am just so captivated by the magic...and everything about HP. I just want to live at Hogwarts.

HP inspired me to read other books. I love reading now, thanks to HP%26gt; and i love writing and fanfiction. I want to be a journalist.

I dont read books similar to HP because there will only be ONE Harry Potter. There's nothing else that compares to it!! JK rowling created something one of a kind.

:)
Reply:i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE .............. ETC

it changed my life !!! i related to characters ... gave me something to actually wait and hunger for !!! and I'm just in love with everything those books !!!!!!!!!! ^_^

i grew up with them ... at the age 11 i actually waited for my own letter lol ^_^

and now after the Hallows .. i feel rather sad ... as if my life ended !!! and i read them about 15+ times .. the whole series i stayed up at night outside a book store waiting for my copy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and yes .. i read books cuz harry potter showed me the right path .. but still ,, nothing is even close to HP !!!!!!!!! ^_^
Reply:I love harry potter books! i have read all of them so many times.

I actually tihnk that the movies are just a let down and are only for the people that cant be bothered to read the books. They miss out vital parts. But its good that they are making the deathly hallows two parted so we can see everything not the rubbish bits and the vital parts that were cut out.
Reply:the movies SUCK! i love the books!!!! i've loved them since they first came out. i never liked the movies very much.

i loved the books because it was something i could read and relate to my (much) older sisters about. it made me want to write more. it kind of opened my eyes to a new genre as well, i usually only read realistic fiction, but i've read a lot more fantasy since HP.
Reply:Sorry friend.I maynot fall in the long queie.

I'm an avid reader and read almost all types of them.Out of curiosity and impressed by the publicity I tried my time on a H/P book.It simply spoiled my day.On another thought I tried yet another book. But,I was aghast.

I feel only the publicity tactics make them reknowned.I won't express my inner feelings more explicitly else there will be a riot..

I just expressed my personal feelings, take it or leave it.Simply don't report it.
Reply:I am completely and utterly in love with the Harry Potter book series. I used to hate reading and thought it was stupid, until my 5th grade teacher read us the 1st book aloud. I fell in love with the series at that moment. Reading Harry Potter made me a better reader, but it also made me a better person by the morals that are instilled into the series. I just love how real the characters are, I feel like I know them. The final book came out 6 months after I turned 17 and I truly grew up as a Harry Potter fan. If ur interested in how Harry Potter has affected ppls lives, go to youtube.com and go to ifancythetrio's page. Many people sent in responses to that question.
Reply:It was the first series I read recreationally after we read it in class

after the first, I was hooked
Reply:I LOVE THE HARRY POTTER SERIES

I loved it from the begining before the movies came out

It didn't inspire me to read other fantasy books because i already loved them

Reply:This is what it inspired me to do.

I hope to have my next (very short) fan fiction out next week.

"Mom, can I drive on the way back?" "Of course not, Calvin."

"Can I just steer then? I promise I won't crash." "No, Calvin."

"Can I work the gas and brakes while *you* steer?" "No, Calvin."

"You never let me do anything."
Reply:the HARRY POTTER series is really fabulous

after reading that , i was inspired to read many other fiction books!
Reply:i do...totally look them so much more detail in there
Reply:i LOVE harry potter now and forever....now i liek the twilight series as well
Reply:I'm a big fan of HP books. They keep me entertained (and that has played a big part in my boring uneventful life, really, I'm not joking)

A lot of the characters also set really good examples for me. The books go really in depth on courage and what it means to be brave.

It's a shame the cut out so many important details in the movie. I think that's why the movies don't live up to the books.

*My fav. book is the fifth.
Reply:I adore the 'Harry Potter' books!:D I felt soooo sorry every time a HP book cames to an end...I wish every book had a million pages! The movies are not as good because they cut out too much details.
Reply:I LOVE the Harry Potter series =) I prefer the books to the movies, but I still enjoyed watching it.

I had always love the fantasy/magic themed books even before picking up the HP series....so,it was the other way around =p
Reply:I loved Harry Potter ever since my sibling introduced it to me and although the movies arent as great as the books, i still love it cuz you never find a movie better than the original book. It changed my life cuz after reading HP, i am now a bookworm! Joy. I guess it did cuz i only read fantasy books, and a bit of teenager books.lol
Reply:i love the books they are toltally wkd
Reply:i loved but i never really thought about them changing my life... interesting
Reply:I grew up with Harry Potter. When the 7th came out, I felt like my childhood had officially ended. It definitely played a big part of my life, but I wouldn't say changed - I would have loved reading anyway. I will always be a fan of Harry Potter, I've known it too long!
Reply:I liked the book because it was about things that I never really read about (when I first started reading back in like 1st grade lol), I could relate to some of the characters and it was just a good read in general :D It hasn't really change my life, and it sort of inspired me to read more books similar to it.

I LOVE(D) the HP series so much that last winter I wrote chapter summaries for all the books in the series up to the Deathly Hollows :) It took up my whole winter break- but it was worth showing off at school lol
Reply:i love harry potter now and forever

the books r too better than the movies the movies r ruining the books
Reply:I love the series.

The movies skip so many important facts, and just aren't anywhere near as good as the books.

This is the series that inspired me to start reading fantasy-ish books, and now you can't keep them away from me.

(I have read the ending of book #7 at least 18 times)
