It is my belief that a pure, unconditional love cannot cause harm. It is only when conditions (aka expectations) are entered into the equation that it loses perspective and can cause potential damage.
I am confused by the concept of changing one's lifestyle causing stress ... and out of love for the other. That seems illogical to me. It seems to make much more sense to change one's lifestyle in order to reduce the stress. Stress is a symptom of anxiety ... an ongoing internal conflict between the id %26amp; ego portions of the psyche.
[wow!... it almost sounds as though I actually know what I'm talkin' about here!!! :%26gt;]
What does one do? Totally up to the individual. Me ...? In the past I walked away from such situations only to discover I was not the source of the other person's problems at all. My ego was such I just perceived I was.
PS ... I'm so glad to see no one gave the cliched reply of "If you love something let it free, if it comes back to you it's yours, if not, it never was." No offense, but ...

Reply:What do you mean by "harm"?
Reply:Love causes harm anyways.
But if my loving someone caused me to PHYSICALLY hurt someone..I would honestly have myself committed for their protection.
