People claim there is a difference and I don't understand how there can be.
Isn't love - love?
Serious survey ~ What is the difference between your love for your children and your love for your partner?
There are different types of love.
The love for my child is unconditional. I love him regardless of what he does and would never walk away from him.
The love for my partner, no matter how much I may claim is unconditional, has conditions. For instance, if he cheats, it's over. If he hits me, it's over. I would walk away.
Edit: There's more to it than just "sex", for crying out loud.
Reply:Your child is your blood and your spouses blood. You made the child together. Its a part of both of you. Its hard to explain.
A spouse you love for who they are and how they love you. It's a person you picked out of everyone to spend your life with
Reply:My love for my son is unconditional. I figure he could kill someone and I'd never disown him, but a partner can cheat, take your money, completely change and become different towards you.
My opinion
Reply:It is ... but to explain is hard the affection for a child is all powerful and the affetction for your lover is uhm sexual as well ... which is deeper ? the bond with your child makes it deeper
Reply:You really are not related to your partner. Your children come from you, there's no denying they are YOURS. You can have another partner, but your kids are your kids.
Reply:I love my partner and i have sex and fancy him
I love my mum and dad but i dont want to have sex them
Thats the difference

Reply:I don't have a child or a partner. Although, I care for many children as if they were my own.
