Why do women love dark chocolate and coffee?

I am very curious about this topic as I have noticed practically every female I know has an astounding love for dark chocolate, and coffee. I know alot of females; so there's a solid base of survey there. Thinking that it just might be something tasty, I tried dark chocolate. Bitter as hell, very disgusting. I tried coffee, and it's the same thing. Why then, would people force themselves to eat/drink these things?

Why do women love dark chocolate and coffee?
Because chocolate makes women feel loved. It has some substance in it that does that.

Reply:I don't prefer dark chocolate, I prefer milk chocolate. I guess it's the American in me, I do like coffee every once in a while, I'm more of a tea person.
Reply:dark chocolate is the best ever. yes it is bitter but that is the charm of it and to have it with a wonderful cup of coffee is just icing on the cake.
Reply:Actually, I'm one girl who's not so fond of dark chocolate, and I don't care much for milk chocolate either. It's all right, but generally it doesn't do much for me. I think most women see chocolate as a decadent comfort food. And dark chocolate, though slightly bitter is rather rich. I personally prefer chewy candies and jellies like Turkish delight, and even pastries to chocolate. And I would rather have tea than coffee. So, a piece of dark chocolate and a cup of coffee really isn't my style. But a piece of Turkish delight and a cup of tea is. :)
