This is to be included in my business plan. I just want to know what it is people in general:
1) Hate about surveys,
2) Love about surveys, and
3) How would you improve the system of taking surveys
I appreciate all opinions.
Surveys. What you hate/ love about them?
I hate surveys that are looooooong
I love to read the results of surveys
I would rather take a survey that I could "x" out the answer rather than shade in a mark.
Reply:Nothing need to be improved. Just love survey and like to give opinion
Reply:I hate phone surveys and do not like being asked personal questions, such as income, education, how many people reside in household, hobbies, etc.
I like surveys that ask my opinion on world and local affairs, pending laws, political activity in my state. People should have the opportunity for input as to what they want, not what the politicians want that benefit only them. Surveys should be mailed, so as to give one a chance to think of their answers and the answer should not be rated on a scale of 1 to 10, but given space to write a reply to a question.
Reply:i simply hate numbers in half-parentheses
Reply:Hate: They are VERY innacurate. Most surverys performed are done on the elderly, stay at home moms, and self-employed people, and people with landline phones since the surveyors tend to call around at dinnertime, and many people do not pick up.
Love: They are somewhat reliable and tend to paint a picture that represents the populationm, again not reliable though.
Improve: Call people on cell phones, remove bias, dont just call at dinnertime.
Reply:1. hate the way the answers are repeated, but are just worded differently
2. i love ones that make me think
3. somehow make them fun....and humorous. if people enjoyed them more...people would apt to take them more frequently
Reply:hate-the are irrelated sometimes
love-gives a chance to express opinion and get attention
to improve- the smapling of candidates should be representative
Reply:1) Surveys will not really be a true reflection of what you are trying to find out by asking people to answer a list of questions then 50% of them by default will not really think about there answers.2) Nothing really but see the answer to question three. 3)For the other 50% It depends on what your business is offering and how you put the surveys to your targets try to match them with your target audience and you may get a truer picture if you just "like a lot of businesses" ask random people then my opinion it's gonna fail!
